Before this startup, Byju went on a study for mechanical engineering from the government university. He traveled for a job in shipping firm for two years.

Some of Byju's friends were preparing for the CAT exam and all asked to Byju for help for preparation. Byju is now ready to take the class of all his friends. His four friends were passed with 100 percent.

After two years, when more friends asked him for the help, he again took classes and he attempted the exam and achieved a top score.

Learning app was founded with the popular brand name Think and Learn Private Ltd at Bangalore based educational technology. In 2011, Byju Raveendran renamed it as 'BYJU’S - The Learning App' at Bangalore.

According to the source, Byju's have more than 300,000 annual paid subscribers. Byju's covered entire India in a very short span of time.

Now the company is planning to enter into the United States and International markets.
