VENICE: A CITY OF WATER

If in the vacation you are planning to visit somewhere than Venice is the picturesque and unique city in the world to visit. Many tourists are visiting this place. 

This city is a tourist site.

Venice, a city of water is situated in Italy. The capital of Italy is Rome.

Italy is famous for its pizza and pasta. If we talk about sports, Football is the most popular game played here. Venice is located in north-eastern Italy and it is the capital of the Veneto region.

So let’s begin with our journey to Venice.

You will be glad to see the Grand Canal in Venice. To tour the Grand Canal you need to book a  water taxi i.e., Vaporetto. 

The cost per ticket is 7.5 Euro i.e., nearly 600 INR [Indian Rupee]. 

There are two types of  water taxi 

1] Public 2] Private.

The private one is costly as compared to the public. After this water ride, the popular stop is San Marco. 

This is an important stop. In Venice not everywhere the area is covered by water. There are many narrow lanes. In these lanes people can walk, bazaars are there for shopping, old buildings are there. 

Venice is also renowned for its Gondola service. The gondola is a kind of boat in which people can sit and enjoy the ride. In this city to enjoy the Gondola ride, for 30 minutes the charge is 80 Euro i.e., nearly 6000 INR. 

Venice is also known as ‘city of canals’, city of water’ and by many other names. The scenery of Venice is so attractive and exquisite which makes this city unique from other cities. I can’t express the beauty of Venice in words. You have to visit this city for your personal experience.

Each and everything either good or bad according to your perspective has both advantages and disadvantages.

In other cities, people fix their journey through taxi, auto, bus, and other vehicles. As you know in cities people use private vehicles which increases the number of vehicles in a particular region. 

This results in a traffic jam. Problems like air pollution occur and noise pollution also occurs because of the voice of horns. 

Due to these pollution people faces many disorders of asthma, deafness, etc.

But in Venice: a city of water no such complications arises because of no road- no vehicles like bus, auto, etc. - no pollution- no diseases to people. 

These are some of the benefits. Similarly, Venice also has some drawbacks.

As you know Venice is a city of water. The buildings and small houses in which people live is gradually getting vanished into the water and because of this main reason, people are shifting to other places. 

Due to this cause, the population of Venice is decreasing. This is the main problem. In spite of having drawbacks, 

Venice will always be a tourist attraction.
